FAQ.
- Yes — all listed procedures are billed under standard medical codes and covered by most insurance plans when medically necessary. Pre-authorization is handled by our team.
- Outpatient procedures (wide-awake hand surgery, most injections, RFA, nerve blocks) are done in our procedure rooms. Larger surgical procedures (joint replacement, spinal fusion, ACL reconstruction) are scheduled at affiliated surgical facilities. Your surgeon will explain where and when.
- Cortisone is a steroid that reduces inflammation — fast relief, typically lasts 3–6 months. HA (hyaluronic acid, also called visco-supplementation) lubricates the joint — slower onset but typically lasts 6–12 months. We use both depending on your diagnosis, prior response, and how often you can return for repeat injections.
- Always. LAOSS takes a conservative-first approach — we recommend the least-invasive option that's likely to work for your specific condition. Surgery is only suggested when conservative care isn't enough.
