Self-pay & cash-pay — FAQ.
- Patients without insurance, patients who prefer not to use insurance, patients whose plan we're out-of-network with, and visitors from out of state. You pay at the time of service and we provide an itemized receipt you can use for tax purposes or to seek reimbursement from your insurance.
- Final. The amount you see is what you pay. There are no add-on facility fees, no separate provider fees, no surprise lab charges. If a procedure needs additional supplies or services beyond the standard rate, your provider will tell you upfront and quote the additional cost before you commit.
- Yes — for larger procedures we can arrange a payment plan. Ask the front desk when you book or at check-in. We also accept FSA / HSA cards, which let you use pre-tax dollars.
- Totally fine. Some patients prefer self-pay to avoid prior authorizations, referrals, or to keep care private. Just let us know at check-in. You pay the published rate; we won't bill your insurance.
- Often yes, if you have out-of-network benefits. We provide an itemized superbill (CPT codes, ICD-10 codes, NPI, the works) that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement. The amount they reimburse depends on your plan.
- We accept American Express, Discover, Mastercard, Visa, and FSA/HSA cards. Cash and check also accepted at the office.
