As a physician assistant on Dr. Hayk Stepanyan's team, Breanna Potenciano helps guide patients through the full arc of orthopedic care — evaluating new injuries, performing in-office procedures, assisting in surgery, and managing recovery. Patients see her for the kind of plain-language, unhurried explanations that make a treatment plan easy to follow.
Breanna earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Loma Linda University, following physician assistant coursework at the University of La Verne, and completed her B.A. in Public Health Policy, with a minor in Health Informatics, at the University of California, Irvine. Her clinical rotations spanned orthopedic surgery, emergency medicine, interventional radiology, and critical care.
During her orthopedic training she assessed fractures and musculoskeletal injuries, performed joint and trigger-finger injections and aspirations including ultrasound-guided techniques, first- and second-assisted in joint replacements, arthroscopies, and fracture repairs, and provided post-operative wound care and splinting. Her graduate research examined the long-term effects of delayed access to musculoskeletal care in underserved populations.
