Dr. Malafa earned his undergraduate degree in Biology from Stanford University, followed by his medical degree with honors from the University of South Florida College of Medicine in 2011. He then completed his hand surgery residency at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas and pursued a hand surgery fellowship at UCLA.
With over ten years of experience, Dr. Malafa specializes in hand fracture repair, joint replacement, nerve and tendon repair, and rehabilitative treatments to help patients avoid surgery when possible. He treats patients of all ages and backgrounds, including athletes, non-athletes, and injured workers, providing personalized, patient-centered care.
Dr. Malafa is available for patient care at the East Los Angeles and Tarzana locations.
